Located in the north Pittsburgh suburb of McCandless, 3 minutes from Northland Public Library, the studio is open Monday-Thursday. It offers a comprehensive program including weekly 30 or 45-minute private lessons, followed by 30 minutes of computer enrichment time. Bi-monthly group lessons round out the curriculum by giving students informal performance and ensemble opportunities. All students participate in NFMC Junior Festival, a spring recital and other playing events. Students learn lifelong piano skills, including technique, sight-reading, transposition, improvisation and harmonization.
I believe there is a musician within every child and that each is capable of expressing themselves through music. I also believe that music is an important part of a student's total education. As a parent, you understand the importance of providing the best education possible for your child - one that exercises their mind, body and spirit. Music exercises a student's creative sprit and when you choose to give your student music lessons, you complete their education. Few students choose music as a career; however, each child, who is willing to invest the time, can master skills needed to ensure music for a lifetime. With this vision, the studio offers a comprehensive music program balancing high standards of excellence in a fun learning environment, using the piano as the tool.
